Jon Langston is a Georgia native that is coming back to his roots as a first-time performer at the 2017 Bragg Jam Concert Crawl. With a new country sound and a love for music that goes back to his small- town band days with his 8 th grade buddies, he gives off a musical vibe that “gives you a little bit of everything.” Langston says. “I feel like our vibe covers a wide range of emotions, but no matter what you can feel it.” There are songs about love and heartbreak, old memories, and good times with friends, everything that country music is all about. Of all his songs though, Langston’s favorite song to play live would have to be “Forever Girl.” He says, “When the crowd sings that last chorus it’s insane and I love it!”
Langston is inspired by bands like Alan Jackson and the Eagles, his favorite band. He also looks to the legacy that the recently departed Gregg Allman provides for the music community, saying that “he was a hero to many and changed music forever!” His favorite song by Allman would have to be “Midnight Rider.”
Langston is excited to get back to his home state and return to Georgia for Bragg Jam, he has heard nothing but good things about the festival and can’t wait to have a good time performing to his fans. Langston says that his trip to Macon is long overdue, many of his fans are from Macon and have been awaiting his arrival. Whenever he visits Macon he likes to do what all Maconites love, visit the Rookery for a good burger.
Jon Langston embodies the spirit of Bragg Jam which is a place for artists, native Georgia’s, or anyone else that enjoys the summer tradition of good music. He is excited for the live crowds singing the songs he wrote at the top of their lungs. He says, “I get chills and there is absolutely nothing like it!” So come on out and sing along to Jon Langston July 29 th at Bragg Jam’s legendary concert crawl.
